Justina Nilsson, MS

Meet Justina, our newest therapist at High Point Clinic. She has brought such an uplifting atmosphere to our clinic and we are thrilled to have her working with our patients and by our side with our team. We look forward to working with Justina and watching her grow as she brings a fresh face and outgoing personality that our patients are going to love.

Prior to her education received as a counselor, Justina devoted her time to helping our military veterans and teaching water safety. She completed a Master of Science in Counseling in 2021.

"I am so thankful for the opportunity I have been given to become a part of the High Point Clinic family. I am an old soul and believe that compassion is the heartbeat of humanity. We are most fully human, most fully ourselves, when we see someone in the truth of his or her experience and are moved to respond with kindness and care.

Change is ultimately in the hands of the patient. I can adapt my chameleon style to help enhance client motivation throughout each stage of recovery. My role as a therapist goes far beyond simply listening, teaching , and offering advice. Instead, I love to help patients recognize problematic behaviors and help guide them into recovery and empower them to take action and change these behaviors. Everyone deserves the chance to be their best self, and I am happy to help.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my grandbabies, or taking a drive in my jeep to find my next adventure! I am a 'go-go' person and love the outdoors. Music and roller derby are my escapes. Although I am no professional, I love to cook and bake, and if you catch me in rare form, I may even sing for you!"

"The human spirit is more powerful than any drug and THAT is what needs to be nourished: with work, play, friendship, family. THESE are the things that matter." --Robin Williams
