  • We do not take insurance at this time

  • We accept cash or credit cards

  • We do not keep petty cash and therefore are not able to make change

  • We do not keep any medication on site. You will receive a prescription from the physician for Buprenorphine with Naloxone which you will take to a pharmacy to have filled

  • We do NOT prescribe Subutex unless you have a positive pregnancy urine drug screen on site. If you are pregnant and suffer from opiate use disorder, we will individualize your treatment, teach you about your disease of addiction and how it affects your pregnancy  

  • You will have weekly visits for a minimum of at least six weeks. This is not only a requirement of HPC but also of the state

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your first day at High Point Clinic is several hours long while we get to know each other. From our front office staff, case management, counselors, and physicians, we look forward to taking care of you.

Call 423.631.0731 to make a new patient appointment for a Tuesday. We also have walk-ins available Wednesdays from 11am - 12:30pm.

Answer a series of questions over the phone to determine if High Point Clinic is the right clinic for you.

2.

Come to your scheduled appointment at 205 High Point Drive (we have 2 buildings, go to the one with the maroon door).

PATIENT

Please arrive on time and be greeted in our lobby by our receptionist.

1.

Fill out questionnaires and personal information that will help us better understand your medical needs.

2.

Provide a urine drug screen (UDS).

3.

Meet with your case manager to review paperwork and discover what needs she can provide immediate resources for.

4.

Transition next door to 203 High Point Drive where our medical director, Dr. Vance Shaw will provide valuable education about addiction. Please invite family, friends, and/or significant others as this is very important to seeing the truth of the disease of addiction. You will learn about the two causes of addiction in a place free from judgement.

5.

Meet with your physician and therapist, where they will work to assess your specific needs, learn about you, and create a treatment plan.

6.

Follow-up appointment the following week for your next appointment.

Smaller than other clinics, we strive to focus on you as a person.
